Type BXA-316 IECEx-ATEX approved stainless steel barrier fitting is designed for use also with a Sealtite liquid tight conduit for loose wires and non-braided cables (stripped) in a potentially explosive atmosphere. The use of stainless steel AISI-316 material ensures resistance to corrosive environments. The barrier is formed by mixing a 2 component epoxy resin which is supplied standard with each individual fitting. Typical applications include motors, transformers, control equipment, Ex enclosures, terminal boxes and instruments, in the chemical and petrochemical, oil and gas, bulk handling, wood processing and food and pharma industries.
