Bosch´s SVC machine

In cooperation with Anamet, Bosch has developed its new SVC vertical form, fill and seal machine for frozen food. “Together we have developed a solution that has instantly become the industry’s best practice model for hygienically designed packaging equipment.”

For machines in the food industry, such as the SVC vertical form fill and seal machine, hygienic design is very important. Cleaning the cables and wires in the machines can often lead to problems. Due to the fact that cables are bundled, there is a risk of dirt accumulation (dirt pockets) which are very difficult to clean. For Bosch’s SVC vertical form fill and seal machine, the conduits had to protect the power- and control cables and even air tubes that lead to the moving parts of the machine. By applying the Anamet FG white conduit, a very flexible and well-cleanable solution has been found.

Type FG is a robust, very flexible conduit with a galvanised steel core and a thick, smooth PVC cover. The hygienically designed conduit cover utilises a microbe inhibiting compound. The applicable AISI 316 Food Grade fittings are also used in the Bosch SVC machine, which are very easy to clean and are resistant against different cleaning products. Below, you can read a testimonial of Robert van Mol, Product Manager at Bosch Packaging Technology.

Trendsetting in action

“When we started work on the revolutionary hygienic design of Bosch’s SVC platform – vertical form, fill and seal machine – excessive cabling was one of the critical hurdles we had to overcome to achieve a truly sanitary solution. Thanks to the collaboration with Anamet, we managed to reduce the SVC’s cabling surfaces by xx%, enabling food producers to clean the machine faster and preventing bacterial build-up. Proven pioneers, Anamet experts, suggested an innovative way of bundling wires and hoses into one flexible conduit and made it happen! Working closely with Bosch experts on the system as a whole, Anamet improved the solution further, making the conduits easy-to-assemble and hygienic in order to comply with stringent food safety standards.

This revolutionary concept would not have been implemented without the collaborative effort of both companies. Together we have developed a solution that has instantly become the industry’s best practice model for hygienically designed packaging equipment.”
