BNC-316, NPT, IECEx-ATEX, barrier adapter fitting, stainless steel AISI-316, EPDM and epoxy seal (-40 °C till +100 ºC)

Type BNC-316 IECEx-ATEX approved stainless steel barrier adapter fitting, male one side, female other side, is used with a flexible metal conduit to provide mechanical protection of to an non-braided cable (stripped), when a barrier 45° or 90° solution is needed. The use of stainless steel materials ensures good resistance to corrosion and chemicals in harsh environments. Connection to an Anaconda conduitA conduit is a gateway in which electrical wires or other items can pass through. More is made with a standard male, 45°, 90°, stainless steel swivel or fixed fitting which is screwed into the female thread of the adapter. Since BNC-316 cable-hose fittings are available only till 1.1/4”, the BNC-316 1.1/2” to 3” adapters in combination with AnacondaAnaconda is the brand name of our flexible conduits and matching Anaconda fittings. The Anaconda conduits are available in a wide variety of materials, diameters and can be with or without cover. More stainless steel fittings can be used when larger sizes are required. Typical applications include motors, transformers, control equipment, Ex enclosures, terminal boxes and components etc., in the chemical and petrochemical, oil and gas, wood processing, bulk handling and food and pharma industries. Also available in a version for armoured cable (type BAC-316, pages 7 – 54 till 7 – 55). On demand the version with silicone seal for high temperatures is also available.
