Anamet Europe proud sponsor of German football club SV Afferde 1957.

SV Afferde 1957 is a small football club located in the suburbs of Unna, Germany. The club is run by volunteers who spent a lot of time not only teaching the youngsters how to play football, but also helping with issues like integration, what does it mean to work together in a team and offering support to children dealing with problems.

SV Afferde really struggles to find donors that want to sponsor them, something they particularly need because they are not eligible to receive funding from the local council. At the request of Ralf Tigges, Area Sales Manager Germany at Anamet Europe and a football fan, Anamet Europe decided to donate to the SV Afferde team.

Richard Wollheim, head coach at SV Afferde  (far left on the photograph): “It is very difficult for a team like ours to find companies wanting to support them. So it is extra special that a company from another country is sponsoring us. Thanks Anamet Europe for making this possible!”

As part of Anamet Europe’s Corporate Social Responsibility programme the company has a budget allocated for employees asking for a donation for a charity of their choosing. Ralf is proud that his Amsterdam based company is now a sponsor of a small football team in a German suburb!
