Type BXA IECEx-ATEX approved nickel plated brass barrier fittings are designed for use with a Sealtite liquid tight conduit for loose wires and non-braided cables (stripped) in a potentially explosive atmosphere. The barrier is made by mixing a 2 component epoxy resin which is supplied standard with each individual fitting. Typical applications include motors, transformers, control equipment, Ex enclosures, terminal boxes and instruments in the chemical and petrochemical, oil and gas, bulk handling, wood processing and food and pharma industries. In case a 45° or 90° solution is needed it is possible to use the IECEx-ATEX barrier Anaconda swivel adapter type BXC in combination with a normal 45° or 90° AnacondaAnaconda is the brand name of our flexible conduits and matching Anaconda fittings.
