When Hipro products are exposed to flames, the silicone rubber transforms into crust of carbon, creating a protective SiO2 refractory layer. Hipro products withstands repeated exposures to molten metals and molten glass up to +1650 \u00baC. Thereby it also protects against heat radiation, just like it protects employees from burns.
